Post subject:  The North American Paint A Figure Challenge

In response to the contests they've been having on the ISF over in England, I've decided to throw a little contest of my own.

And so...

RULES:

1. Entrants must live in North America, but do not have to be a part of
any organized club or association.

2. Entrants can use any recognised table football figure and base combo.

3. The figure must depict any recognised "official" kit, current or
past, club side or international. (future contests will include other
categories).

4. The figure can be 100% painted or use decals. (but, this is a
painting contest so the paint job will get more weight in grading).

5. You can enter by submitting a picture(s) of a single figure to my
email address or by posting in this forum thread.
(preferably multiple pictures showing all sides of the figure).

6. You can enter only one figure per contest.

7. Entries are to be in by April 30th.

8. The winner to be decided by a secret group of SLSL members, and our decision is final.

9. SLSL members are not eligible to win this contest, but may be
eligible in future contests. (we do, however; encourage SLSL members to post pictures of their best efforts just to show their skills).

The winner will receive a set of Stefan Corda G2 bases and blank 2k4 figures.

Good luck, and I look forward to seeing some great paint jobs.

Sadly, no. We decided to make it North America only since the ISF is having contests for the other side of the world. Try: http://www.subbuteoforum.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6827

Maybe we'll have one open to the World, later. Sorry.

With Patrick Sheridan's strong endorsement, I have no choice but to enter the contest. Can you advise how I attach a digital photo to this post? Otherwise, I'll email the administrator the photo. Many thanks, Larry Fryer, Woodstock, MD (Maryland Subbuteo Club)

Can anyone assist in instructing me how to attach a photo to this post? Otherwise, I need an email address to submit to. Many thanks! I've been waiting for a painting contest! I will try to bring honor to the Maryland Subbuteo Club!

Larry Fryer from Maryland Subbuteo Club has submitted these pictures of his US National Team. All the names are handpainted on the back, as is everything else on the kit. The team box is also hand-painted.

A very nice entry. Larry has set the bar high for all others. A nice touch with the Glaciers and the disc labels inside. (I can see Jeff's wheels spinning in that skull of his.)

about a month left. We have a couple great entries, but I'm hoping for more. If you're having troubles posting a pic, feel free to email the pics to me and I'll post them for you.

I still don't have the decals on, but since it's a painting competition, here you go.

Edit: I just re-read the rules, and the kit below is one of my own design. It doesn't depict a real world team. So I guess he's disqualified!

Image Removed to avoid confusion.
